Maury, por mucho tiempo administrador de la iglesia y oficial de alto rango de la Iglesia Adventista del S\u00e9ptimo D\u00eda en \u00cdnter Am\u00e9rica, falleci\u00f3 de un aparente paro respiratorio el s\u00e1bado 2 de diciembre mientras se encontraba en M\u00e9xico. El pastor Maury ten\u00eda 73 a\u00f1os de edad. <\/p   >\n<p>\u00abSu legado estar\u00e1 siempre con nosotros, ya que \u00e9l hizo parte del excelente equipo de obreros que hizo de la Divisi\u00f3n Interamericana lo \u00e9sta es hoy\u00bb, expres\u00f3 el pastor Israel Leito, presidente de la iglesia en \u00cdnter Am\u00e9rica. Su servicio a esta iglesia fue tan intenso, como intenso fue su vivir y su amor for la iglesia\u00bb. <\/p   >\n<p>La iglesia del pastor Maury y la familia de la DIA est\u00e1n muy apesadumbrados, dijo el pastor Leito. <\/p   >\n<p>El pastor Maury, quien se jubil\u00f3 a fines del 2005, despu\u00e9s de servirle a la iglesia por cerca de 50 a\u00f1os, continu\u00f3 trabajando activamente por la iglesia. <\/p   >\n<p>Naci\u00f3 el 19 de octubre de 1933, en Colombia donde creci\u00f3. Estudi\u00f3 teolog\u00eda en la Universidad Adventista de Colombia y obtuvo un grado de maestr\u00eda en administraci\u00f3n de empresas de la Universidad Andrews. <\/p   >\n<p>Sus a\u00f1os de servicio para la iglesia empezaron en 1957 cuando se convirti\u00f3 en tesorero y profesor de la Universidad Adventista de Colombia, de la cual lleg\u00f3 a ser su presidente m\u00e1s tarde. Tambi\u00e9n fue pastor de una iglesia y sirvi\u00f3 como tesorero y luego como presidente de la iglesia en Colombia. <\/p   >\n<p>En 1980, el pastor Maury fue nombrado tesorero de la iglesia en la sede de la Divisi\u00f3n Interamericana, en Miami, Florida. Continu\u00f3 en esa posici\u00f3n por 20 a\u00f1os hasta que fue nombrado vicepresidente de la Divisi\u00f3n en el 2000. Permaneci\u00f3 en ese puesto hasta su retiro del servicio activo. <\/p   >\n<p>Sobreviven al pastor Maury, su esposa, Mar\u00eda Eugenia, cuatro hijos y cuatro nietos. <\/p   >\n<p><strong   >Un servicio de recordaci\u00f3n se llevar\u00e1 a cabo en la Iglesia Adventista de Westchester, en el n\u00famero 9500 SW 16th Street, en Miami, Florida, Jueves, 7 de diciembre a las 7:00 p.m.   El velatorio ser\u00e1 a las 5:00 p.m.<\/strong   > <\/p   >\n<p><strong   >La familia Maury ha establecido el Fondo de Becas Ram\u00f3n H. Maury para beneficiar a estudiantes necesitados en Colombia. Las donaciones a este fondo pueden ser enviadas a trav\u00e9s de la Divisi\u00f3n Interamericana.
