\nA los profesores Dr. Gary Hopkins y Duane McBride se les otorg\u00f3 el reconocimiento el d\u00eda de ayer, durante una reuni\u00f3n del Instituto de Prevenci\u00f3n de Adicciones en las oficinas mundiales de la denominaci\u00f3n. El director de Ministerio de Salud, Dr. Peter Landless, dijo que las investigaciones de estos tres expertos durante la d\u00e9cada pasada han hecho una \u201ctremenda contribuci\u00f3n\u201d a la iglesia y a la sociedad. A trav\u00e9s de ensayos acad\u00e9micos y art\u00edculos en revistas especializadas, los tres han promovido la importancia de las relaciones saludables en la reducci\u00f3n de los comportamientos de alto riesgo en los j\u00f3venes, as\u00ed como a trav\u00e9s de una influencia estabilizadora en personas de mayor edad.<\/p>\n

Duane McBride dijo que algunas de sus investigaciones m\u00e1s prominentes enfocaban su atenci\u00f3n en la importancia de las comidas familiares, a\u00f1adiendo que proveen importantes lazos de uni\u00f3n entre los hijos y sus padres. Los ni\u00f1os que participaron m\u00e1s de comidas juntamente con sus padres, tuvieron m\u00e1s probabilidades de tener menos \u00edndices de consumo de drogas, bebidas alcoh\u00f3licas y tabaco.<\/p>\n
