Leaders of the Inter-American Division Publishing Association (IADPA) reported continued growth, strong financial stability, and expanding mission outreach during the organization’s mid-year board meeting held May 4, 2026, in Miami, Florida, United States.
Saul Ortiz, president of IADPA, presented the general report, highlighting sustained sales performance and mission impact across the territory.

Despite a slight decrease compared to 2024, Ortiz emphasized that sales exceeded the projected budget by more than $1 million, underscoring the resilience of literature ministry in a rapidly changing digital environment.
Expanding Reach Through Literature and Infrastructure
Ortiz reported the opening and renovation of five bookstores across the territory, including locations in Puerto Rico, Honduras, Panama, and Colombia, increasing access to Adventist literature.

The organization also distributed more than 1.5 million missionary books in multiple languages, including Spanish, English, French, Dutch, and Papiamento, along with nearly 260,000 children’s missionary books.
“Each book represents a life touched,” Ortiz said, emphasizing that missionary literature remains central to the church’s outreach efforts.

Clara Spengler, vice president of sales, reported total sales of $14.14 million for 2025, achieving 109 percent of the projected budget.
She also highlighted strong performance in key categories such as church books and Sabbath School materials, as well as growth in textbook sales, which reached $1.6 million.
Moise Javier, vice president for finance, presented a detailed financial report showing improved efficiency and stability.
“There is stability, and that is what is important,” Javier said, noting reduced accounts receivable and disciplined expense management.

New Publications and Strategic Initiatives
Publishing leaders also showcased newly released and upcoming titles designed to support the church’s mission, including materials on evangelism, theology, financial stewardship, and children’s education.
Vladimir Polanco, editor, highlighted a new series aligned with the division’s strategic initiative Living the Mission, aimed at strengthening spiritual growth and community engagement across congregations.

Additional publications included children’s books, devotional materials, and bilingual resources, reflecting a growing focus on reaching diverse audiences.
Leaders Affirm Mission of Publishing Ministry
Inter-American Division President Abner De los Santos reaffirmed the spiritual significance of publishing work, particularly through the missionary book program.

He also emphasized that the success of IADPA extends beyond financial performance.
“The blessing of an institution like this is not only in sales, but especially in the people who serve in it,” De los Santos said.

During the session, leaders paused to honor the life and ministry of Sabine Honoré, a longtime editor who passed away earlier this year
De los Santos reflected on her lasting impact, citing Revelation 14:13 and affirming that “her works follow her,” recognizing the influence of the many publications she helped produce.
Elías Peiró, vice president of production, remembered Honoré as a professional dedicated to excellence and detail.

Church leaders also prayed with Honoré’s family, expressing gratitude for her life and commitment to ministry.
Looking Ahead
As the meeting concluded, leaders expressed confidence in the continued growth and mission impact of IADPA

“Everything we do is ultimately about placing truth in the hands of people,” he said.
With expanding distribution, new publications, and strong institutional support, IADPA leaders reaffirmed their commitment to using literature as a key tool in sharing the gospel throughout Inter-America.

Ivelisse Herrera, IAD treasurer, congratulated IADPA leadership, noting that “God continues to bless the work through faithful stewardship,” as the organization sustains its mission-driven growth.
